Academic Hematopathologist/Clinician Scientist at Queen's University

Summary: The expectation of the successful appointee will be to establish an independent research program in the area of hemostasis/vascular biology and to contribute to the service activities of the Division of Hematopathology. The percent of time allocated to these activities will be negotiable depending upon prior experience and future career goals. Currently, projects of the Molecular Hemostasis Group at this center focus on molecular, translational and clinical investigation of FVIII and von Willebrand factor (Group website: http://clinlabs.path.queensu.ca/queens/labs/lillicrap/). Scholarship is a major departmental goal and substantial resources are available for the establishment of research programs. The applicant will also be expected to contribute to the department’s undergraduate, graduate and residency training programs. Applicants must provide evidence of current involvement in and commitment to education. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the province of Ontario and must either hold or be eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in an appropriate discipline.
